About Anotas.online

Anotas.online is a fast, frictionless tool for writing and sharing notes online without signing up. We exist because the simplest digital action — passing a piece of text from one person to another — has become unnecessarily complicated. You should not need an account, a verified email, or a downloaded app to share three lines of information.

Our mission

We believe quick communication should not require an account, an email, or giving up your privacy. Anotas.online lets you write a note, protect it with a password, and share a link in seconds — nothing more, nothing less. The product does one thing very deliberately: it gets out of your way. No onboarding flow, no setup wizard, no premium upsell, no notification opt-ins. You open the page, you type, you share, you leave.

Why we built it

There are dozens of note apps, but most of them want your data, your habits, and your inbox. We wanted the opposite: a tool you can use once and never come back if you do not need to. No history of what you have written, no profile, no email tied to anything. The project started as a frustration with how a simple "send me your address" or "here is the Wi-Fi password" turned into a chain of installs, accounts, and follow-up notifications. There had to be a simpler way.

How it works

1. You write a note in your browser — no installation, no account, no email required.
2. You set a password that only you know. We hash it with bcrypt before storing.
3. You get a unique link with a memorable slug (like luna-523 or rio-87).
4. Anyone with the link AND the password can read the note. Only someone with the password can edit it.

Who is it for

Anotas.online fits dozens of small use cases. The most common ones:

• Sharing Wi-Fi credentials with house guests without leaving the password sitting in chat history forever.
• Delivering a one-time password or temporary access token to a client or coworker without using email.
• Writing a quick draft or list that you want to access later without it living in a cloud notes account.
• Letting a friend, classmate or family member edit a list collaboratively without asking them to install anything.
• Posting a short text — instructions, code snippet, address — where you only want specific people with the password to see it.
• Replacing screenshots of sensitive text with a proper link that does not get scanned by OCR or auto-uploaded to a photo cloud.

Privacy first

We hash passwords with bcrypt (cost 12, an industry-recommended setting). We do not store IP addresses in plain text — only a SHA-256 hash for rate limiting. We do not run third-party analytics on note content. We do show ads on the public-facing pages (homepage, blog, legal pages) so we can keep the tool free for everyone, but ads never appear on the note-reading or note-editing page. Notes are stored on dedicated database servers, accessed only through our backend API.

What we do not do

• We do not require an email, a phone number, or any kind of identifier to use the service.
• We do not link notes to a user profile, an IP address (only a hash), or a browser fingerprint.
• We do not read your notes, scan them for keywords, or train AI models on them.
• We do not sell your data — there is no data to sell, by design.

Who is behind it

Anotas.online is an independent project built and maintained by a small team based in the Dominican Republic. It is not backed by a corporation and it does not collect data to sell.
